MAKING UP THE SCARF
With right sides facing, pin the scarf front and back together.
Sew around the four sides, leaving a 10in gap in one of the long edges for turning.
Snip across each corner to reduce bulk when turned. Be careful not to cut the stitching.
Turn your scarf the right way out and press all around. Press the edges of the unsewn gap inwards and pin the two edges together.
Hand sew an 1⁄8in running stitch along both long edges using embroidery thread. This not only sews up the gap, but also adds a lovely decorative touch.
